Sales Representative

Chattanooga Business Machines, a local leading provider of innovative business solutions for more than 30 years, has an open position to fill – a Solutions Sales Representative with great opportunity for advancement.

The main responsibility is to market and sell a full line of award-winning imaging products, software solutions and services to targeted accounts.


Job Description


Productivity

  • Attain assigned sales targets

  • Develop new accounts in assigned geographic territory

  • Get referrals from best customers

  • Prepare monthly sales reports and prospect reports

  • Prepare and deliver effective presentations to customers as needed

  • Process orders in a complete and timely way

  • Instruct customers on proper use of products and services installed

  • Develop and manage all assigned accounts with consistency

  • Maintain regular contact and customer follow up looking to grow the relationship and go “wider and deeper”

  • Effectively utilize provided technology to manage accounts (CRM tool)

 

Time Management

  • Effective use of time management skills

  • Handle multiple priorities

  • Maintain current contact lists and contact with each customer periodically

  • Prompt attendance at sales meetings

  • Commitment to planning key activities conducive to growth

  • Approach each day with a keen sense of self-discipline

 

Personal Development

  • Understand and effectively use technology and how businesses work

  • Have workable knowledge of products, solutions, and services

  • Practice and role play presentations with team members

  • Take on the role of a true solution provider…not a box mover

  • Qualify and find customer pain points through effective questioning techniques - then recommend an effective solution

  • Attend, actively participate in, and complete training seminars and sales meetings

  • Effective at handling objections, stalls, and closes

  • Handle customer complaints in a seamless way

 

General

  • Follow company direction

  • Maintain businesslike behavior and professional appearance

  • Follow through on additional activities or responsibilities as required

 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree desired

  • Business to business sales experience desired

  • Industry experience preferred

  • Proficiency in MS Office products required
